If you watch the news, you would think that Christmas is about consumerism and chaos - and people are being trampled and killed on black Friday. On top of that, we are in an economic recession, causing stores to market harder than ever and slash prices deeper than ever to get us to buy more stuff.

It’s hard to believe that Christmas is about the birth of a baby 2000 years ago. It seems that Christmas has been hijacked by Wal-Mart and Wall Street. So, it’s time to reclaim Christmas - that's what "Beyond Our Walls" is all about. It’s about getting back to the ‘heart’ of Christmas.

No matter your faith, you know that Christmas isn’t about buying more stuff, going deeper into debt, and getting stressed out. And no matter what you believe about Jesus, you know that a simpler Christmas can be a more spiritual Christmas - and a Christmas defined by kindness can be a more Christ-honoring Christmas.
